France April 24-27: Rewilding, Genderfucking, And More

"Skill-sharing for Radical Queers and Faeries…

With industrial capitalism reaching its final phase, social and political unrest spreading, and ecosystems worldwide rapidly decreasing, it seems like a good time for radical queers -who are often very urban- and faeries of all genders/ethnicities/ages to get ‘down to earth’.

Are we capable of creating self-sustainable communities ? Can we free ourselves from gender pressure ? Can we nourish ourselves and take care of each other ? Can we defend ourselves when needed ? Can we help speed up the system crash ? How will we cope ? Can we listen to each other’s emotions ? Can we heal with herbs ? Are we capable of letting our activisms and our spiritualities cross-fertilise ? Can we ‘re-wild’ to find our place within a natural ecosystem ? What is queer magic ? Can we have respectful and arousing orgies without resorting to sexual consumption ? How do we perceive our bodies ? …

And where do we find a beautiful place to share these skills ?

At Folleterre -the (European) Radical Faery Sanctuary (www.folleterre.org) in France’s Vosges region- queers have been building community in Nature for some years now. We get the chance to use this wonderful playground respectfully, in order to gather, laugh, do workshops, perform ridiculous cabaret, garden, roam wild in the forest, share zines, make fire, cook, swim in the lakes, make ritual, genderfuck, and prepare for the queer new world disorder…

The gathering will be DIY (Do-It-Yourself, which means we are all co-responsible) and consensus-based. Contribution between 5 to 15 euros per day (for food and Folleterre). Of course nobody will be turned away for lack of money, and all also are invited to participate in the work-week (only if interested - it’ll take place at the same time and will be focused on redoing the floor of the house).
