"It is now obvious more then ever that the goals of the left to reform this system are naive as they are utopian. The foolish idea that somehow we can have our mass techno-industrial civilization and an Earth too, show just how out of touch with reality some are as they go to all lengths to keep up their denial of what is so blatantly obvious.

Civilization is wiping out forests, oceans, habitats, ecosystems, and anything else that is in its way as it takes us towards ecocide with the added factor of an increasing domination over the inhabitants of this Earth. The cancerous progress that it inflicts gives us the special treat of electronic sedatives to numb us as the world burns and life becomes even more miserable and empty. We face the ends of oil just as much as we face the ends of the Earth as resource after resource that this system depends upon reaches its peak. Ignoring collapse doesn't make it go away, nor does ignoring the hierarchy and ecocide this system necessitates.
