Soupstock Food Not Bombs Convergence: May 21-24

"On May 21st-24th San Francisco Food Not Bombs will host the Soup Stock convergence to discuss Food Not Bombs and celebrate 29 years; see below for a full schedule!

Thursday
Join soupstock organizers for a final meeting and work party. We will be working on final preparations for the event including screen-printing shirts, banner making and coordinating logistics. We welcome and encourage everyone who wants to help with soupstock to attend this meeting! 6pm, Station 40, 3030b 16th St @ Mission, you can get there by BART (16th/Mission Station) or MUNI (14,49,22,33). Pull the cord and go up the stairs.

Friday
Food Not Bombs informal get-together and social @ hippie hill in golden gate park. 4-6pm+. Join your fellow Food Not Bombers for an informal get-together at the Friday serving. There may be fun and games.

Saturday
The conference will be held at 'the 5lower Shop' 992 Peralta St (next to the Alemany Farmers Market) from 10am to 6pm. There will be discussion, movies, panels and skill shares!

Workshops will include:
- Report back / slideshow on food not bombs in Russia!
- Movie on food not bombs 1995 gathering
- guerrilla gardening / composting
- home-brewing and fermentation
- bike cart / bike transportation skillshare
- mycology
- food not bombs & anarchism: charity or solidarity?
- panel discussion of autonomy and community and anarchy
- ua in the bay: building autonomous infrastructure
And of course some washing and chopping of veggies for the concert the next day...

The concert will be held at McLaren park, a lesser known but amazing gem of a park on the southern edge of san francisco! our concert venue is nestled amongst 317 acres of trees, hiking trails, woodlands and nature. 40 John Shelley Dr, SF,CA, but it might be easier to find it on a map.

11am-12 - sign up for Open Forum Poetry, singing and acoustics
Noon - Opening Ceremony with Jorge Molina
12:20 - Peaceniks
12:45 - Mama Crow
1:15 - Rebecca Cross and the Saints
2:00 - Bonfire Madigan
2:35 - Shelly Doty
3:15 - Shotwell
4:00 - Otto Mobile

Cacophony until we are unplugged at 5:00ish

Unplugged playing after that and performances by Dancers, Clowns and what ever else happens til 7PM
Clean up, tear down, pack it up; etc... Childrens activities provided, this venue is fully accessible.
