"Come out to CSU Stanislaus (located just 15 minutes south of Modesto CA), for a free one day conference on anarchism. The event will feature a featured presentation from Barry Pateman and professors across the Central Valley.
On Thursday May 7th, from 5:30pm - 9pm, at California State Stanislaus, located in Turlock California, there will be the first ever Anarchist Symposium. The event will take place on the Main State Theater - woot woot! A symposium is like a conference but where you only get the university to hand over the keys for a couple of hours, not several days.
However, the rapscallions at Modesto Anarcho Crew (MAC), have collected a grand array of speakers including, the one, the only, Barry Pateman, part of the Kate Sharpley Library Collective, and who works on the Emma Goldman Papers, at UC Berkeley. Other presenters will include Mike Becker from CSU-Fresno (published author through AK Press), and other professors from throughout the Central Valley. Modesto Anarcho Crew will also have a presentation.
