Anti-Racist Action Network Seeking New Member Chapters

"At the 2008 Anti-Racist Action network conference we committed to strategic campaigns aimed at smashing regional fascist organizations and other right-wing groups. We also made a commitment to actively grow our membership to strengthen ourselves so that we can fight more effectively.

ARA-NET Statement on collective membership

The Anti-Racist Action Network would like to reaffirm its undying commitment in these trying times to the cause of radical antifascism. We would like to make it known that we are actively seeking out organizations and people across the continent who agree to our four points of unity (see below) to join our Network. Membership in the Network offers many benefits to you as an individual and your organization such as:

-Access to the ARA warchest to benefit Antifascists in legal trouble
-Access to the Anti-Racist Action merch distro at discounted prices to raise funds for your organization
-Connections with a large network of like-minded groups and people committed to a common goal
-Support from groups across your region for your actions and events
-Shipments of the Anti-Racist Action LA publication Turning The Tide

Membership in the Network is not only for organizations who adopt the name "Anti-Racist Action". As long as your group adheres to the four points of unity, you can be called whatever you want. We want to connect with existing well-organized groups as well as reach out to help individuals form groups in their cities and regions.

The ARA Network works on a variety of campaigns and causes. We have played a major part in organizing militant marches to confront anti-choice demonstrators, neo-nazis, and other such scum. Our militant street presence is what we might be most widely known for, but we also spend much time organizing workshops, public meetings, and education drives. At our regional and national conferences we hold queer, gender, and people of color caucuses (as well as caucuses and workshops for allies).
