In December 2007, Rod Coronado entered a guilty plea to one count of "distribution of information relating to explosives, destructive devices, and weapons of mass destruction," relating to a speech he gave in San Diego in 2003. In exchange for a guilty plea, the U.S. government agreed to ask only for a one-year prison sentence, and drop pending charges in Arizona and Washington, D.C.
